Standing before an audience and sharing something meaningful is about much more than delivering a well-rehearsed speech. It takes curiosity to explore an idea, courage to express a personal viewpoint, and confidence to connect with others.
At BeGo Education, we believe these experiences play an important role in helping young people discover their strengths, develop independent thinking, and grow into confident, thoughtful individuals.

Young Voices, Fresh Perspectives, and Inspiring Conversations
BSB Shunyi is part of the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) global family of 89 international schools across 37 countries. We are delighted that the inaugural NAE TALKS will bring together young speakers from seven international schools across Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Nanjing and Shanghai for a gathering of ideas, creativity and student voices.
Similar in spirit to TEDx-style talks, NAE TALKS offers students a platform to step forward and share their experiences, perspectives and ideas on topics that matter to them and the world around them.

On 2nd November, students will join together at BSB Shunyi for workshops and rehearsals. On 3 November, they will take to the stage to deliver their talks before a live audience, and the event will also be livestreamed to the wider community.
What makes this gathering especially meaningful is the opportunity for students from different schools, cities and backgrounds to come together. Each student brings their own experiences, interests and way of seeing the world. Through sharing and listening, they have the chance to discover new perspectives, challenge their own thinking and learn from one another.
After all, some of the most valuable lessons begin when we encounter an idea different from our own.

Nurturing student growth beyond the classroom
For BeGo Education, sponsoring NAE TALKS is a natural continuation of a valued relationship with BSB Shunyi, built around a shared belief in nurturing student growth beyond the classroom.
Since 2023, BeGo has had the privilege of supporting three previoius TEDxBSB Shunyi Youth events hosted by BSB Shunyi. These events encourage young people to explore their ideas, find their voices and share their perspectives with a wider audience.
In two of these events, the mentorship team of BeGo‘s flagship Private Family Education Office (PFEO) delivered tailored public speaking and presentation workshops to student speakers.

For last year’s November 2025 event, BeGo brought together an experienced TEDx-style presentation coach from the University of Cambridge, a neuroscience expert from UCL who is also a member of Toastmasters International, and other BeGo mentors.
Together, they guided students through different aspects of preparing and delivering a compelling talk, from organising their thoughts and strengthening their arguments to refining their storytelling techniques, presentation delivery and audience engagement.
Yet the purpose of these workshops went beyond helping students become polished speakers.
It was about encouraging them to think more deeply, recognise the value of their own ideas, and develop the confidence to communicate with clarity and authenticity.
BeGo is delighted to continue supporting this spirit of student empowerment through the inaugural NAE TALKS, as the initiative expands to bring together young voices from international school communities across China.
